CANADIAN INTERNET POLICY (OR LACK THEREOF)
Here’s an article in the Toronto Star, (via Crooked Timber), discussing the technology and intellectual property positions of the parties in the election.
In the only interesting policy pronouncement to be found, the Greens are agressively chasing the ‘beardy Unix administrator’ demographic with their promise to “only [acquire] computer systems built upon open standards and protocols.” Yeah right. I like Linux as much as the next geek, but in no way is it ready for the desktops of civil servants.
